Nothing much to blog about day 1 because our flight was scheduled at 4pm and it’s evening by the time we reached Hong Kong… this is our first trip with my sisters and we were excited because Hong Kong is a nice place to visit
By the time we checked in the Dragon hostel (we stayed there again since we been there before and we like it
) it’s already 10pm something… we went out to get prepaid sim card, do take note that PEOPLES prepaid have 2 types one is for local calls only which cost HKD 48 and the other is for both local and oversea calls which cost HKD 98… After we make some calls back home, we went for supper and later walked around the area, managed to do some shopping but most of the shops have already closed…
In order to get to the Dragon hostel from Hong Kong International Airport, you got 2 options… the easiest is to get a taxi (usually max 5 seats), the boot can roughly hold up one 28″ luggage, 24″ luggage, 18″ luggage and probably a couple of shopping bags (not too much though)… hopefully this helps you to estimate the capacity of their taxi boot
The second option is to get on the Airport Express (cost HKD 150 for 4 adults, kids can use Octopus card for children discount but not for adult case) to Tsing Yi MTR station (Tung Chung Line) and inter-change from Lai King (Tseun Wan Line) to Mong Kok MTR station… sounds confusing but it is the cheapest route and fastest time to get to the destination… you can get the Airport Express and Octopus card from the customer service booth just outside the arrival hall…
It’s more adventurous and we chose the second option because we thought the taxi option is expensive… Taxi is not expensive if you share the fare with your group but the journey duration could be longer depending on traffic… the taxi fare from Airport to the hostel is about HKD 230 (max 5 people)
Here are some photos taken on that day
Krispy Kreme set cost RM9, not bad….
Century egg porridge with sliced pork, very good…
Hui Lau Shan Black sesame dessert, it’s new! They have herbal tea too and it’s good too!
Oooooo this blog caused me more missy missy our trip =(
A big thanks you my little brother and Lillian for such a lovely and well organized trip. Ummmm when is the next one then ah. ho ho ho
